Six Films And 170 Crore Profit In Third Quarter

Since the beginning of July there have been six films that have scored at the box office and between they have given an amazing 170 crore profit. On the flip side there were 23 other Hindi releases which gave a loss of around 100 crore with Aarakshan contributing 20 crore of that 100 crore loss.

Singham
Investment - 40 crore
Revenue - 70 crore
Profit - 30 crore

Bodyguard
Investment - 85 crore
Revenue - 129 crore
Profit - 44 crore

Mere Brother Ki Dulhan
Investment - 30 crore
Revenue - 54 crore
Profit - 24 crore

The investment is the production cost along with P&A cost while the revenue is bottom line income of all sources (theatrical, satellite, music, video plus miscellaneous) after taxes for satellite and music as well distributor commissions for theatrical where applicable.
