Be the Bodyguard

While Salman Khan is breaking all records at the box-office with his turn as Lovely Singh in Bodyguard, fans can now get a chance to play a game based on the film and be the protagonist. The Bodyguard mobile game is an adventurous action game based on the movie. In essence, the player dons the role of Lovely Singh, the loyal bodyguard who protects the business tycoon’s daughter Divya Rana, the character played by Kareena Kapoor.
“We released the game in early August and the response has been quite positive. We took quite some time to create the game as well,” Rajneel Kumar, Business Head-India, Jump Games said. While non-intensive games generally take under a month to create, the Bodyguard game took almost 45 days to come to fruition. This was because the company “did not want to offend the lead actor’s fans’ sensibilities by doing anything tacky”. “We took time to create the backgrounds and evolve the gameplay. Generally, these issues do not come into the picture when your only goal is to release the game in time for the movie’s release to cash in on the publicity. However, we wanted to do full justice to the Bodyguard game,” he said.

The game can be played in two modes viz., Story Mode and Arcade Mode. In Story Mode, the player plays through the entire storyline of the game. The levels progress in a predefined manner, with the next level being unlocked when the previous one is completed successfully. Arcade Mode, on the other hand, allows players to play the levels unlocked in Story Mode. This mode of play is only to see how many points can be collected. The players will be able to select and fight various enemies. This mode will be locked initially and the levels will be available only when the player completes them successfully in Story Mode.
