Saif Ali Khan and Salman Khan have been bonding a lot; they connected because of Kareena Kapoor; the actors had drifted apart after their last film together Hum Saath Saath hain. While Shah Rukh Khan, Karan Johar, Sanjay Dutt and Arjun Rampal have been seen bonding in recent times a new 'bro'mance brewing is that of Saif Ali Khan and and Salman Khan. The two actors have started bonding thanks to Saif's girlfriend Kareena Kapoor who is acting with Salman in Bodyguard. Says a source close to Saif, "Though Saif has always liked Salman (they have worked in Hum Saath Saath Hai) and vice versa they lost touch untill recently when Kareena and Salman started shooting for Bodygurad. Saif used to call Kareena and once while chatting with Bebo, Salman casually took the phone, and started talking to Saif. During one such time Salman even assured Saif that he shouldn't worry when he was shooting with Kareena that anything untoward would happen to her. He would act as Kareena's bodyguard for you and protect her. Salman added that while Kareena was with him she would be under his protection and he would see to it that she's looked after." That statement made Saif warm up to Salman instantly, maintains the source. "Since then Saif and Salman have been bonding regularly. In fact recently Saif and Salman were both shooting for different films in Film City. When Saif came to know he dropped in to meet Salman. One person who is thrilled with their friendship is Kareena. Saif has never been part of any film coterie as he has his own group of non-filmi friends and it suits him to be like that. He is not much of a party person now and is comfortable staying at home reading or watching films or shooting."
