Vir Das plays a serial dater in his next

After the success of Delhi Belly and Go Goa Gone and the attention his pivotal role in Revolver Rani fetched him, funny man Vir Das has won a place in the Bollywood spotlight. The subsequent months will see several of his films hitting the theatres, the first of which is Amit Sahni Ki List in which the Revolver Rani toyboy plays a serial dater. The film is slated to release on July 18, 2014.

Vir calls this Ajay Bhuvan-directed film a “romantic comedy,” which is sharply different from the genres he has been seen in so far. Buzz is that the film pits him against 10 new heroines and his co-stars include Vega Tamotia, Kavi Shastri, and Anindita Nayar.

Thereafter Vir has on the anvil a laundry list of films. He informs: “There’s Santa Banta which is a big commercial comedy, Khanna Patel which is a commercial love story, Golu Papu which is a kid’s film, 1984 which is a drama, a film with Nikhil Advani which I have also written and Saxxx in which I am playing a double role.”
